How CheckMyPlans AI Works
CheckMyPlans AI helps homeowners, contractors, designers, and drafting professionals identify potential issues in architectural plans before permit submission.
Our preliminary plan review process is designed to identify missing information, drawing inconsistencies, and potential permit-preparation concerns.
Simply select your project type, upload your PDF plans, and receive organized review findings and recommended next steps. During our initial rollout, some reviews require manual processing and verification.
01 — Select Your Project.
Choose the type of project you need reviewed: New Homes, Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), Remodels, Additions, Pools & Spas, or Commercial.
Each project category has a dedicated submission form to help us collect the information needed for your preliminary plan review.
02 — Upload Your Plans.
Upload your architectural plans in PDF format using the submission form for your selected project type.
Provide your contact information, project location, and relevant project details. Include all available plan sheets and supporting documents to help us perform a more complete preliminary review.
Once submitted, your documents enter our review process. During our initial rollout, some submissions may require manual processing and verification.
03 — Preliminary Plan Review.
Our preliminary review process examines submitted architectural plans to identify potential missing information, drawing inconsistencies, and permit-preparation concerns.
Depending on the project type and available documentation, the review may examine site plans, floor plans, elevations, dimensions, construction details, and other relevant drawings.
CheckMyPlans AI is being developed to automate routine plan checks. During our initial rollout, reviews may involve manual evaluation and verification.
Our goal is to identify potential issues before you submit your plans to the appropriate city or permitting authority.
04 — Review Findings & Recommended Corrections.
After the preliminary review, we organize identified issues into a clear report to help you understand what may need attention before permit submission.
Depending on your project, findings may include missing plan information, drawing inconsistencies, incomplete details, and potential permit-preparation concerns.
When corrections are recommended, we explain the issue and provide suggested next steps. Where applicable, revised drawing drafts may be prepared for review.
All proposed drawing corrections are subject to human review and approval before any revised documents are delivered. Original submitted plans are preserved.
05 — Receive Your Review Results.
Once your preliminary plan review is complete, we prepare an organized summary of the findings and recommended next steps.
Your review results may include identified drawing issues, missing information, suggested corrections, and recommendations to help prepare your plans for permit submission.
Where revised drawings are included in the agreed service, proposed changes are reviewed and approved before the revised documents are delivered.
Review results and available documents are provided through the delivery method confirmed for your project.
Our goal is to help you understand potential plan issues, reduce avoidable revisions, and move forward with greater confidence.
06 — City Corrections & Resubmission Support.
Already submitted your plans and received correction comments from your city or permitting authority? CheckMyPlans AI can help you organize those comments and understand the changes requested.
Submit your city’s correction letter, previously submitted plans, and any supporting documents for review.
We evaluate the correction comments, identify the affected drawing sheets, and prepare recommended next steps.
When included in the agreed service, revised drawing drafts and a response letter may be prepared to help support your resubmission.
All proposed drawing changes require review and approval before revised documents are delivered. Final permit decisions remain with the applicable permitting authority.
